Angelo Negro, Roero Nebbiolo “Prachiosso”, 2012
Availability: Out of stock
From a vineyard first planted in 1670 (!), this is a gorgeous, refined, and detailed Nebbiolo at a fraction of the price you pay for Langhe bottlings. The current crop of vines here are 35 years old, grown on south-facing sandy/calcareous soils. Twenty-two months in used barrels and barriques refines the wine. Sharp-edged smoky lace is the best way to describe this elegant Roero.
