Sadly, as many as 5% of all wines are defective as a result of faulty corks, premature oxidation, or other problems. You may return any defective bottle to us for a full credit or refund within 60 days of purchase.
In New York, we may, at our discretion, also accept returns of unopened bottles of wine or spirits to us within one week of purchase. (Under California law, the San Francisco store is unable to accept returns except for defective products.) Returns of unopened, non-defective products will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
All returns must be accompanied by a receipt. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any return if our staff believes that any returned product has been improperly stored by the customer after the customer has taken custody of the wine.
We offer a ten percent discount on any mixed or solid case of wine. Your discount will be shown at check-out before you confirm the order. A very few of our products are sold “net” and are not eligible for a discount. Net products are typically those where our margin is very thin or where the supply is very limited. Net products will count towards your full case, but will not themselves be discounted. For example, if you have 10 products that are discountable and two products that are net, you will get your 10 percent discount on the 10 discountable bottles, but not on the two products that are net. Each product page indicates whether or not a product is net. Please note that all spirits are net.
