Top Source of Champagne
Walk into either of our locations – San Francisco or New York – and the first thing you will see a wall of Champagne. We love it. Our customers love it. It is just about our top selling category. When industry professionals want Champagne, or they just want to know what the cool Champagnes are, they come to us.
Yeah, we think we are the top source for Champagnes in the United States. We typically have over 200 Champagnes in our catalog, representing producers from all of Champagne’s regions and a large number of its villages. We specialize in Champagnes from Growers (producers who grow their own grapes and then produce Champagnes from them) but we also work with higher quality negociants (producers who buy at least a portion of their grapes from farmers).
We work with over 30 different suppliers of quality Champagnes, most of whom are respected importers in the United States, but our suppliers also include sources in Europe and private collectors. Our work with them includes exclusive buying opportunities, direct import opportunities, securing allocations of high–in-demand Champagnes, and tasting opportunities in our physical stores.
Great Prices
We keep our prices competitive, and most of our Champagnes can be purchased in mixed cases for a 10% discount (use coupon code 10OFF at checkout). Or, for maximum value, join our Champagne Club, Extra Brut, which you can read about here. The very best values in Champagne that we come across – usually in limited quantities – usually go to our Extra Brut members.
Expertise
A lot of expertise goes into our Champagne buying. Most stores devote just one staff person to buying Champagne – we have a whole team of four buyers! Most of us have been buying Champagne for 15-20 years or longer. Together, we have traveled to Champagne over a dozen times. Champagne producers routinely visit our stores, often to taste and talk about their wines with us, but sometimes just to do some shopping!
Service
If you need help selecting, purchasing or shipping Champagne, we’re here for you. Come by the shop or contact us here. There’s nothing we love more than thinking about the Champagnes we carry and which ones would serve your needs perfectly. We want to be your go-to people for all things Champagne – give us a try!

Champagne is magic!
What is Champagne? Well, it's sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France. But it's so much more than that. Champagne is one of the most famous wines in the world (think of Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label Brut, Dom Perignon, or Cristal). But it's also a wine region full of tiny producers making incredible, small batch artisanal products.
How to begin to explore? Well, you can browse our selection of Champagnes from the big houses (sometimes called "Champagne Grandes Marques") like Veuve and Roederer. Or you can check out some of the small Growers Champagnes that have set the wine world on fire, lately: small-scale farmers who make wine only from grapes they farm, looking to convey a specific terroir.
