What makes your sourcing different?

We work across a cross-section of elite sources—leading importers, carefully vetted private collectors, and longstanding European partners—who all treat provenance and storage as non-negotiable. We pass on wines that don’t meet our standards. The result is a catalog that’s curated for condition, authenticity, and value.

How do you ship from Europe?

When we source in Europe, we ship exclusively on temperature-controlled boats. No exceptions. That means your bottles don’t face container-heat spikes that can silently cook great wine long before it reaches you.

How do you store Fine & Rare wine at your shops?

The vast majority of it is stored at our warehouses and cellars in New York City and San Francisco that are maintained at proper cellar temperature. In some cases, we display our fine and rare wines in our retail shops, but more valuable bottles are shown only in Eurocaves. Less valuable wines may be stored on regular store shelves, but we keep our stores at a cool temperature – and they never last there long!

Do you keep a wide selection of Fine and Rare wines in stock?

Yes. Although we always give first dibs to our existing customers – so be sure to sign up for our newsletter here – we buy so much fine and rare wine that there are inevitably hundreds of different offerings available for purchase online or in our shops. Please browse our current instock selections in San Francisco here and in New York here.

How experienced is your team?

We’ve been doing this for 20+ years – and far longer for some members of our team. We drink these wines and live with them; we know which vintages are drinking well, which producers over- or under-perform, and what to avoid. We also know fair market pricing and keep ours competitive—with additional case discounts where applicable. If you need guidance for a cellar plan, a gift, or a special dinner, just each out—real humans will help.

How can I get first dibs on new cellar arrivals?

We send early offers to our existing customers before posting online. If you want first access to ex-cellar releases, library vintages, and one-off collections, join our newsletter (it’s where the best stuff appears first, and often sells before it hits the shelves or our web site). To do that, head to our home page and look for a place to enter your email at the very bottom.
